Lola's POV
I breathed a sigh of relief as he left the kitchen. Damn this mate pull, I thought. He doesn't seem to feel it though, he just acted like he was repulsed and disgusted by me. Tears clouded my eyes at the thought of being rejected again and I tried to rein it in.
"You know, he's not like that to everybody. He has a story behind his behaviour but I hope he'll be able to see past it and hold onto you before it's too late", Luna Rose said beside me and I raised my head up so fast, I think I broke a cervical bone.
He has a story? A story with women? A story with rogues? I could not see any reason why he'd reject me without even knowing me. I guess the Moon goddess doesn't want me to know what it's like to have a mate that will stay by me.
"You-you know he's my mate?", I asked her
