Rex had barely knocked twice before I snarled, “Enter,” without looking up from the contracts sprawled across my desk documents I wasn’t actually reading. My eyes tracked the ink, the symbols, the seals but none of it registered. Because my mind was still stuck on one thing… Selene. I hadn't spoken to her directly in a whole, I had been trying my best to avoid her but I knew that I would have to face her sooner or later. I didn’t want to but I knew that I would soon have to.
