DANTE’S POV The night before battle was always the loudest, it had been a long time since this pack went into battle and this had exposed to us how much we had taken advantage of that peace. How fragile it was and how quickly it could be taken from us by the likes of Steven. The pack had settled into a tense rhythm paired patrols circling the perimeter, sentries posted along the eastern ridge, the training grounds finally still instead of torn apart.
