DANTE’S POV
The Council Summons arrived exactly as I expected sealed with dark silver wax and smelling faintly of wolfsbane ink. A summons meant to command, not request. I received it at dawn. I hadn’t slept. I hadn’t been able to. A lot had happened in the past couple of days, I had never expected the summons to take this long to arrive. Rex had even suggested that I would be summoned that very day but it seems the elders wanted to take their time. I was a little nervous about the meeting but I knew that this was something that I would have to face one way or the other. There was no escaping this.
