HUNTER'S POV
I never imagined—nor planned—that she would discover the truth this way.
She must be terrified out of her wits, and it’s no wonder she fled. It shouldn’t have taken me this long to tell her everything. Just as everyone kept urging me to do.
But I was stubborn. And scared.
We decided that the five of us—Colton, Millie, Theon, Laura, and I—would pursue her. I already knew the direction she had taken.
Though she carried a map, it would only lead her in circles; the exits were hidden by magic. By now, she was likely lost and frightened—exhausted, maybe even starving.
Before we began tracking her, I gathered the others.
“If any of you see her, do not approach,” I instructed. “She can’t recognize you in your wolf forms—and she’s already terrified as it is.”
They all nodded
