“Kade?” I shout as I move through a dark warehouse. Why am I here and searching for my pup? “Kade?” I shout again. “Come to Mommy,” I say.
A loud laughter echoes off the brick walls, and I stop. The room is filled with stacks of boxes and other debris. I can barely see around the stacks. The laughter continues, sending chills down my spine.
“Kade?” I shout again.
“I’m here, Mother,” A deep voice cackles nearby.
“Kade,” I say as a shadow moves slowly towards me.
I watch as my son appears in the only light of the warehouse. Only he is no longer a boy. “Kade?”
