(Jaxon) She pulled me into her room and shut the door behind us. Didn’t say anything. Didn’t need to. I leaned against the door and looked at her. She looked at me. It was already there in her eyes—what she wanted, what she was scared of. “Are you okay?” I asked. She hesitated. Then nodded once. “Yeah.” That was all I needed. I stepped in. Close. My hands found her waist. Her breath hitched, but she didn’t move. I kissed her hard. No getting her used to my kiss since we have done that a million times already. She kissed me back like she wanted this just as bad. Her hands were already grabbing my shirt, pulling me closer. “Jax,” she whispered against my mouth. “Yeah?” “My parents and Zoe—” “They’re resting.” I kissed her again, cutting her off. “Plus the door is locked.” She kiss
