Just being here

(Jaxon) It felt good the way Kendall was leaning against me. This alone, made me want to protect her even more with my life. I didn't want anything to happen to her, not while I'm still here. When I was done with the sandwiches, I placed a sandwich on a plate and turned off the stove. She still didn't move. I waited a few seconds before turning around. "Are you okay?" I asked. She looked up at me and nodded. Her eyes were a bit red, but she wasn't crying. I guess she felt that emotion in a way that didn't need tears. I reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze before sliding the plate towards her. "Eat a little." I said, while watching her to make sure she's alright. She sat down and started eating. She ate like she knew that I wasn't going to stop watching her until she did.
