I turned off the engine and sat there staring at the piece of paper. My heart started beating faster even though I told myself it was probably just some flyer or advertisement. But something about the way it was placed there, made me feel sick.
I got out of the car and pulled the paper free. The words were written in black marker, all capital letters: STOP SEEING HIM OR YOU'LL REGRET IT.
My hands started shaking. I looked around the parking lot but it was almost empty now. A few cars were here and there, no one walking around that I could see.
I got back in my car and locked the doors immediately. My phone was already in my hand before I realized I was reaching for it. I typed out a message to Jaxon.
*Someone left a note on my car. Says to stop seeing you or I'll regret it.
