I was in class when two cops showed up. I saw the Professor look my way, then motioned for me to come to him. I didn't say anything, just got up.
Everyone were already curious about what was going on. All eyes were on me, but I didn't care because I didn't do anything wrong.
"Chase Ryder?" one of the policemen asked.
I nodded my head. "Yeah." I was trying to sound calm, despite my heartbeat pounding loud in my ears.
"I'm Officer Daniels," he said, then motioned to the guy beside him. "This is Officer Grant. We need to talk to you." Then he looked at the Professor. "Privately."
I didn’t ask why. There was no point. You don’t get pulled out of class by two cops because they want to talk about the weather.
