"Yes, there was no convincing her to stay." Fiona sighed, looking at me.
"Matt, was there any way that she could have found out that I was gone?"
"Not that I know of Ant. I only found out you left the next morning. By then, she had already made up her mind." It didn’t make sense.
“She would not leave the pack just like that, without someone to care for them.” I pulled my fingers through my hair, trying to figure out if what I did was so bad that she left or if something else happened.
"Anthony, she did leave them in someone’s care. She left them in mine. She was convinced that I was able to do it. I know you are our Alpha and this is not right, but that is what she wanted. Besides, she thought that you were here." Fiona looked offended and defended herself.
