Chapter 10: Trial

ELAINE POV

I'm on my bed thinking of what my father said to me that he is now letting me to go the school but I should have my own limitations in communicating with other people

"This is my dream but why am I so nervous?" I ask myself while looking at my window it's past 8pm and the it's half moon. Sometimes watching the moon with the glittering stars in the horizon helps me think even further. It is like living life with choices and full of chances. Just stay optimistic

"I guess I'll just do my very best from now on. I will never let my father to be dissapointed" I took my last breath and decided to close the binds of my room. I guess I need a proper nap tonight to think of what I will do next. I know it's still early to go to bed but I need a time to relax my muscles (as if I have those)

"Elaine are you sleeping or watching again an anime?" Dad has a really perfect timing! And he also knew how I get addicted to anime these days

"Yes?" I answered him and open the door of my room

"I just received a text from Mr. Andrews Wife and I told her about my plan. Do you with to meet them today?" I raised my eyebrows and look at my dad. Did he forgot that he just grounded me for a week?

"Go now" he seconded and as he was about to walk away from me. I called my dad again

"Dad? Is Mr. Andrews lives around our neighborhood?" I ask because if he lived in our area then going to him every week will not be a hassle anymore!

"His wife said that they just move in" Dad just waves his hand while walking away and I just shrugged my head and decided to go to my doctor. I also need his advice and some tips inorder to jive with the others

I also don't like to look an alien there!

"Dad! I'm going" I know why my dad is acting care free this time because it is just around our area and also my doctor now lives here so whatever may happen to me. He can rescue and also I don't want him to get worried everytime. I need to show him nor them that I'm getting better.

While I'm going to the address my dad gave to me. I felt nervous and I don't why I'm feeling this because I will be only meeting my doctor. Don't tell me I'm missing him?

NO!

I'm being pathetic this time. Maybe something may happen to me today or it's just cold tonight. Makes sense because the sky is kinda sad, no stars and even the moon. Are they hiding? Or they lost track the orbit.. poor heavenly bodies

"So they are living few yards from us. This can be good" I look at their new house and it's kinda fancy but it seems to modern knowing Mr. Andrews. It must have a donut vibe since he is obsessed with those stuffs and I don't blame him because that snacks is heaven!!

Okay! Okay I'm ringing the bell!

Why my hands are trembling? Oh God! Please not here or it's okay? Doctor is here so he can rescue me but this may lead to my dad's to change his mind! No! I need to calm

1...2..3.. Inhale... Exhale... Inhale... Okay!

'ding dong'

"COMING!" Mr. Andrews voice seems younger. Is that a side effects of eating too much donut? Oh God I must eat those when I get aged.

A minute passed and the gate opens. Oh whose this boy? Is he some kind of relative of Mr. Andrews? And why am I trembling? Do I have a crush on him?!

No!! I need to be calm.. Just remember that I came here to seek for Mr. Andrews advices and tips. Okay here I go

"Hello? Is Mr. Andrews here?" I calmly said and he just looked at me and he seems astounded. Does I look that bad that he can't contain my face? Isn't he breathing? Does I smell bad? Oh God!

"Oh there you are Elaine! Come in!" Mr. Andrews interrupted and I took a glimpse of that person as he slowly stood back and the same reaction, he is still astounded and he seems familiar to me it's like I knew him and I badly wanted to see him again.. Is he someone from an anime? Just kidding

We headed to the swimming pool area of the house and seated on a gazebo. I looked at the sky and I can help to smile a little. This night is truly calm and relaxing.

"So your father told me about your request. What's your thoughts about that?" He asked as his wife is coming and bringing a glass of juice. She smiled at me and seated right to her husband.

"It's good to see you Elaine" She greeted me and smiled

"Hi Tita. It's been a while" I answered and nodded at her then I answer Mr. Andrews

"Its been a dream for me. Going to school like a normal teenager does, making friends and most of all learning new things from the outside world" He just looked at me and to his wife then take a drink of the juice

"Just remember your limitations Elaine. You must not forget them otherwise you'll be in trouble. Youre a smart kid Elaine and I really believed in you. Please don't make us regret our decision" I smiled on my mind as he said that. I'll never make them regret their decisions in me. I must fulfill it with courage nonetheless I just wanted to feel what the other people feel besides I'll be for a while in that school since it's nearly summer and my graduation.

Before I bid my farewell to Mr. Andrews I noticed again the guy who opened the gate for me. He looks familiar but I don't know him. He's like telling me that I knew him where in the first place I didn't even recognize him.

I walk towards him and he seem trembling. Do I look like a bandit to him? Trying to rob his things? Isn't he mad?

"Uhmm excuse me?" Looking closer to him seems natural. Then I noticed his pale expression and his mole on his neck. This cannot be...

"Richard?"
