“P-please!” Zoie pleaded. “I’ll give you whatever you want, but I really don’t know what you’re talking about!”
Miles scoffed in annoyance as he clearly didn’t believe her.
“You’re the only person in the world who’d hate me enough to do this,” he said as he strode closer. “It’s gotta be you!”
“M-Miles, I really don’t know what this is about,” she stammered nervously as he kept coming closer. The hairs on the back of her neck were standing up. “L-Let’s just talk about it, alright? Let me go and we can settle this. I can talk to the dean if you want, and get you reinstated---”
