~ Zoie’s POV ~
Zoie didn’t realize she had fallen asleep. She was trying her best to stay awake, not wanting to miss her chance to say goodbye to Asher. But when she opened her eyes next, she saw that Asher was already gone from her bed. She quickly got up to check her phone and sure enough, it was 7.30 AM. Asher was probably already on the plane by now.
Zoie checked her phone for messages or calls from Asher, but there was nothing. Letting out a defeated sigh, she put the phone back on the bedside table and that was when she noticed a piece of paper folded by her bedside lamp. Curious, she took the paper and opened it. Inside, there was a note.
Dear my sleeping beauty,
Fourteen days and fourteen nights.
Fourteen suns and fourteen moons.
