~ Zoie’s POV ~
A couple of days had passed since the Halloween party fiasco and Zoie was feeling much better. She thought they’d get into a lot of trouble after what Asher did to Miles, but somehow, nothing happened. They didn’t get a call from the school or anything. Even Miles. Zoie thought he’d file a lawsuit, at the very least, against Asher. But nothing ever came up.
Speaking of Miles, he had been MIA from school. People were saying that he might’ve transferred to Berkeley. Someone even said he transferred out of the country. Zoie thought that this was weird. But when she asked Asher about it, his response was:
