Book Three: Sweet Redemption: Chapter Seven: Ahkari's P.O.V.

Breakfast went slightly better than I had thought. Bianca at first, barely spared me a glance. When I was excused to go get dressed I couldn't help but ask if she wanted to come. I was so sure that she was going to say no, so when she didn't I was unbelievably delighted. Of course nothing happened between us.

I thought it was a little bit odd that Bianca seemed to think it was strange that I wanted to make her comfortable. Did other people in her life not do that? I wonder what she is. Maybe that's why she finds this weird.

When I came out of the bathroom and found her on my bed I thought she had fallen asleep. I wouldn't be surprised if she slept like s**t last night. I know I did. Mates don't usually take time apart once they meet, but all bonds were different. I was determined to stay positive. Afterall, Kee said that the bond was already in place and there was nothing we could do. Still, I didn't want to scare my mate off.

Honestly, I had no idea how to act around her. We were raised to put the mate bond above all else. I was a virgin. Sort of. There was one girl a couple of years ago but...things didn't work out. We never got passed kissing and maybe feeling each other up. That didn't mean I knew anything though. I still hadn't even told my family that I am gay. None of that stopped me from wanting to be around Bianca though. I was trying to go with the flow but it was so hard to resist touching her.

I could tell that she was surprised when I offered for her to stay here and nap, and that I could tell her everything later. That was also weird to me. Why would I keep anything from her? She is my mate. Hopefully soon, we wouldn't have secrets like that. I don't expect her to tell me everything right away but I do hope she soon realizes that I won't keep things from her. No matter how scary.

The entire time Bianca was in my room I tried to muster up enough courage to ask her out like Kee suggested. I decided to start small and offer a walk, not a date but date-ish. But I knew the moment the words left my mouth she was going to say no. I tried not to let her half rejection bother me. Instead, I just tried to brush it off for the both of us.

Once we were back downstairs we went over how mine and Acaisia's mission went. I tried to focus on Max and Tia but when we had started to discuss what would happen next my focus would shift to my mate. She was surprised when I asked to have an all girls team. I wondered if she was surprised that I wanted to be around other women or if it was something else. Maybe she's jealous? Honestly, I just did not want to deal with any males. Acaisia and I didn't work on teams very often. I mean we had only been out on a few missions as it was. Two of them were on teams with other people. It did not go well. Maybe if the males in the supernatural world would take no for an answer, and stop asking to f**k us all the time we wouldn't have so many problems.

When Bianca offered for her and Bou to go panic surged through me. Acaisia and I had barely made it out. Putting my mate in danger went against everything I am. Sage growled her discomfort in my head. After looking at Bianca though, my opinion changed. While I was still scared shitless to have her in danger, I knew she could handle herself. Sage agreed that our mate is tough. Plus I would be there to protect her. And I'll get way more time alone with her. If I can put my marks on her then she can use some of my power. Like teleportation and magic, just like Ryce and Max. That would make me feel immensely better.

I could tell that Bianca was pleasantly surprised when I agreed. Acaisia was 100 percent in disagreement but she was just mad that she has a second chance mate. Tia seemed to think about it before leaving and I was thankful. I was sure that they would be coming with us.

Once it was just the four of us in the room Acaisia asked me what we were going to do today. Honestly, I wanted to slap her. It was so obvious that Bou wanted to get to know her more and she was ignoring him like he was a pest. Except when they're alone apparently. It was only a matter of time before she gave in. Once she sees Bou doesn't just want her for s*x she'll give in. I can already tell he isn't like her first mate. Thank the Goddess.

When Bianca told her that we were going for a walk I almost choked on air. I turned to look at her and she seemed genuine but I also could tell that she was only doing it for her brother. Trying to push that small fact from my mind I began getting excited. Acaisia tried to come with us and again, I could have slapped her. Just because she didn't want to be alone with her mate didn't mean I didn't. I know she doesn't know about me but she could at least try to read the room.

Shut up. Are you trying to ruin my life? I asked her through the link.

Don't be so dramatic Ahkari that's my job. She replied. Besides, what could I possibly be ruining? A friendship? She asked.

I scoffed through the link. You are unbelievable. You cannot come. And don't worry about my personal life. I said.

Hmmm. Where are you going to take your mate? She asked surprising me.

You know? I asked.

My twin scoffed through the link. Of course I do. So, where you taking her? She asked.

I shook my head, guess we had some things to talk about later. I'm going to take her to the swimming hole. I told her.

Make sure you heat it up first it'll be like a giant hot spring. She told me.

That's a good idea. I mumbled.

Thankfully Acaisia gave up after our private conversation. Before she could change her mind I grabbed my mate and we left the kitchen. I lead Bianca up the stairs, back up to my room.

"I thought we were going for a walk?" She asked after we were alone in my room.

"We are. I'm going to take you somewhere but we need swim suits." I told her as I started to sift through my drawers. There was a suit I have that I know will look amazing on her. Hell, anything would look amazing on her.

"Swim suits?" She asked, her voice full of curiosity.

"Yeah." I said as I turned around to hand her the swim suit. Bianca raised a perfect dark eyebrow at me and I smiled. "Just trust me. You can change in the bathroom, just make sure to lock the other door so Acaisia doesn't accidently walk in on you." I told her.

Bianca hesitated for only a quick moment before walking into the bathroom. I could see the small smile that fell on her perfect lips as she turned around. When the door closed I changed quickly. Don't get me wrong I wanted my mate, bad, but if I was to be honest, I'm pretty shy. Not even my first girlfriend seen me naked. It wasn't that I wasn't confident or comfortable with myself, I just didn't like attention I guess.

A short while later Bianca emerged from the bathroom. I smiled brightly at her and then offered for her to set her undewear on my bed. I can't wait to see her in that suit.

"Ready?" I asked her, smiling brightly.

"Yeah, let's go." She said returning my smile.

I grabbed Bianca's hand and practically dragged her out of the house. Once we were outside I didn't let go of her hand and I was happy she didn't pull away from me either. It took us just a few minutes to get to the treeline. I looked around to make sure no one was paying attention to us and then walked into the trees. Bianca looked around taking everything in as we walked to the swimming hole. Once we were deep in the forest she spoke.

"How do you navigate your way around here? Everything looks the same to me." She asked.

I couldn't help but giggle. "I'm a werewolf. Not only can I smell everything but the forest is like a second home to me." I told her.

"So, you do a lot of running around out here then?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yeah. Sage and Selma like to run out here a lot." I told her.

"Who is Sage and Selma?" Bianca asked.

I turned my head to her and giggled again. "Mine and Acaisia's wolves. Sage is mine. She says hello by the way." I told her.

"She did, did she?" Bianca asked with a smirk. "Tell her I said I can't wait to meet her."

Bianca's words stopped me in my tracks. She took a few steps ahead but stopped before she had to let go of my hand. My mate turned to look at me with a questioning expression.

"It's dangerous for you to say that." I told her. Sage was purring in my head, begging to be let out. She wanted to meet our mate too but Sage was a little too eager. I didn't trust her not to mark Bianca the moment she got sight of her.

Bianca closed the space between us. Her bright blue eyes pierced through my dark blue ones. "And why is that?" She asked lowly.

My answer was simple. "Because we are mates."

"Shouldn't that make your wolf excited?" She asked as she furrowed her brow.

The wind blew strands of dark curls into Bianca's face. I reached up with my free hand and tucked them behind her ear. My fingers trailed lightly across her skin, sparks erupting along my finger tips. She never broke eye contact with me.

"That's exactly why it makes it dangerous." I said.

Bianca smiled at me making my heart stop.

"I see." Was all she said. Bianca cleared her throat and turned around. She gave me one last glance. "Come one, show me this mystery place." She said.

It didn't take us much longer to get to the swimming hole. As we walked up to the clearing you could hear the waterfall. I looked over at Bianca as the excitement started to take over. Moving a few branches out of her way I ushered for her to go ahead. Bianca walked into the clearing. I watched her face as she took everything in. Pure awe and wonder lined her features. Goddess, she is so beautiful. I watched as Bianca walked to the edge of the water. She crouched down to dip her hand in the water before turning to smirk at me.

"Kind of cold for a swim." She teased.

I smiled and walked over to her. "I can fix that."

Crouching down I put my own hand in the water. Using my magic I heated the entire swimming area. I looked up at Bianca's face as she felt the water heat up.

"Nice." She said with a small laugh.

Bianca stood up and smiled down at me. Without saying anything, or breaking eye contact, she unbuttoned her jeans and slowly slid them off of her legs. I felt my face heat under her bright blue eyes. She gripped the bottom of her purple sweater and gave me a wink before pulling it off of her head. My eyes roamed down her body slowly. f**k, she looks a million times better than I thought she would in that suit. My mouth went dry as I raked my eyes back up her body to settle on her eyes. Bianca smirked at me before diving straight into the water. I stood up and her head popped from the surface.

"Come on! Don't leave me alone in here!" She yelled out.

With my mind complete mush I stripped out of my black leggings and shirt. Then threw my hair tie down on top of my pile of clothes. The swim suit I chose was one that Acaisia demanded I buy. I've never worn it before because it's too small for my chest. Acaisia said it's supposed to be like that but I never felt comfortable enough. "I'm surprised there aren't more people here right now." She said as she stopped to catch her breath.

I shrugged. "No one knows about this place except a few of my siblings. Tia and Belle actually found it years back. Acaisia and I only know about it because we followed them here once." I told her.

Bianca turned her head to me. "So this place is pretty secluded huh?" She asked.

I nodded, and then smiled. "Come with me." I told her as I swam for the waterfall.

Ducking under the water I swam through the waterfall into the small cave. A moment later Bianca's head popped up next to me. She looked around at the small cave. I swam over to the little rock bench and sat down. Bianca followed me as her eyes scanned over everything.

"This place is so beautiful." She whispered.

"Yeah." I breathed out never taking my eyes off of her.

Bianca eventually found my eyes again. She smiled at me making me return the favor. How did I get so lucky to have such a breath taking mate?

"Thank you for brining me here." She said softly.

Bianca moved closer to me.

"Y-yeah. No problem." I stuttered out lamely. "We, uh, we can come here whenever you want." I told her.

Ahkari are you busy? My brother Ambrose asked.

Yes I am. I grumbled back.

I really need some help. There was an emergency in Montana, Tia wants me to go check it out but I was supposed to teach that self defense class to the 8th graders today. Can you please cover for me? He rushed out.

I looked her up and down once she turned around. An idea ran through my head. Maybe I didn't have to cut time with my mate short.
