My mother’s health is still stable and she seems to be okay. Hazel is doing a pretty good job with her, but I just hope she won’t be too stubborn to attend her chemotherapy sessions as I won’t be there. She has never been a fan of them, but at least they increase her chances of living to see an extra day.
“How is married life?” My mother asks as she peels an apple.
“So far so good. I can’t complain,” I answer.
“Does Lucas treat you well?”
“He does!” I quickly answer with no hesitation. “He has been really good to me,”
“Mm...” She simply says.
Now I have to apologise with how I left her the other day and just assure her that I am in safe hands.
