Nolan’s POV
Parker seemed fine when she came home. I left work early tonight. Brandie was furious because she believed we would have another round. She went and put the dress on from last night, and I left while she was in the restroom changing. She called me the moment she realized that I left. I wanted to show Brandie that she wasn’t the one in control anymore. There was no way that I was staying late. It was dark when I got home, and I was surprised to find Parker still gone. I texted her twice, but she didn't reply, and that made me nervous.
I knew she was going out today, but I didn’t expect her to be gone all day. She has been so depressed lately that I was surprised by this complete 180 she has made. I grabbed a drink from the fridge before checking my phone again. She
