Caden’s POV
Her husband is a real piece of s**t. I didn’t say the words aloud, but he was, without a doubt, a horrible husband. What had Parker been forced to put up with in that marriage? She was such a good person, and it made my heart ache for her. I couldn’t stay back anymore. I hadn’t meant to eavesdrop; I was just about to come downstairs when I heard a very aggressive voicemail playing on her phone. I stood frozen at the top of the stairs, trying to decide if I should go back to my room to give her privacy or go to her.
