LYCANDRA POV.
“CASSIE!” I exclaimed excitedly and ran the few remaining feet between us, and we engulfed each other in a hug. “I’ve missed you so much.” Cassie said emotionally and I pulled back to see tears in her eyes. “I missed you too.” I said and only then did I notice the woman standing a few feet behind her. She had shoulder length dark hair and even though she had sunglasses on that hid half of her face, I could see that she was about my mother’s age, perhaps a little bit older. She had a soft smile on her lips and her face was slightly tilted downward and to the side as though she was listening to us rather than looking. There was something about her that seemed… familiar. I didn’t get any negative vibes from her and even Sage was at ease in her presence.
