Darcy's Pov
Anger settled in my chest when Dr. Vee checked Adrian. He had confirmed that she had severe high fever and constant dehydration. what I already feared: Also stressed up.
"She's nearly 39.9," he said quietly. "Her body's been through too much stress. We need to rehydrate her and lower the fever immediately."
"Will she be okay?" My voice shook.
"If we start giving her some drips now, she should improve in a few hours," he replied, setting up an IV. "If not, we'll go to the hospital. For now, keep her comfortable and check her temperature often. Call me if anything changes."
Since I was a teenager Dr Vee had always been my family doctor. It's been going for twenty years now. He is someone I trusted without questioning his works.
