We went to school like nothing happened. Katie and Cayden were joking and laughing while I was just cycling next to them quietly and looking at them from time to time. They seemed happy, like everything was fine and we didn’t just possibly lose a friend. However, sometimes I caught Cayden while he was deep in thoughts, but then he tried to f*rce himself to snap out of it with some lame jokes, which made Katie laugh even though it wasn’t funny. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss Sera. I did. She was always positive and always smiling as she looked around at the flowers and trees. I felt some kind of emptiness, but maybe because I was used to looking out for her.
