Gabe’s presence at the restaurant did put a bit of a damper on the romantic evening I had planned for Bethany. I had to hand it to her though, she shook it off better than I did.
I was still having a hard time reconciling this piece of s.hit, who was always drunk or high, rude and belligerent to the kid brother I thought I knew and loved. It was clear he needed help. Not just a little help. He needed some long term intensive inpatient treatment.
And the fact that he had somehow hooked up with Rachel the day after I fired her. Well, that was just weird. I would have to make sure my legal team reminded Rachel that she had a non-disclosure contract, as well as a non-compete. She could still work as a secretary or a PA, but she was barred from working in the hospitality industry.
