Raphael The main lodge of the resort was a mess. I had noticed the fireplace was getting smoky, just as Beth and I were preparing to leave the dining room. At the time I thought it was nothing more than a downdraft from the blustery weather outside. According to the Cody and the chef, the fire alarms started going off about twenty minutes later. The local fire department had responded quickly, and had quickly contained and extinguished the chimney fire, but not before they had completely soaked the building, inside and out.
