Beth The front door slammed while I was still in Charlie’s bedroom helping her get dressed. “G-gon’ break…it,” Charlie said angrily. It made me smile a little, because she used to say the same thing every time a young Gabe or Rafe shut the front door too hard, and made that stained-glass rattle in the pane.
