Beth I had not been on a real date since before Raphael left for Italy, before his father died, before I knew that Lucy was conceived. I didn’t count family outings with Lucy and Nana Charlie as real dates. But this time, it was just Rafe and me. And I was unaccountably nervous. Why be nervous? We were having s*x, for crying out loud! It’s not like we could get anymore intimate! But somehow, this felt different. I picked out a dress, which really wasn’t all that great.
