Chapter Thirty~The Bear~

It did not take Bliss long to find the stream. She just went in the direction the woman had pointed in and followed the sound of the water. It was larger than she expected, probably right near the mouth of a river. The water rushed over a large granite boulder which would be nice for cleaning. She set down the basket of dirty nappies and took off her cloak, dress and boots. She was left only in her shift which she hiked up and tucked into the waist. She would get it wet, she knew, but at least it would not be soaked. She picked up the basket and walked across the granite, the surface rough against her feet. She checked the temperature of the water with her toes and was not surprised to find it freezing cold. Best to try to stay as dry as she could in the cool autumn weather. She walked ba
