“SLEEP TIGHT,” Max said as he gently laid her on the bed. She smiled at what he said. It was the first time someone had told her that. She had never heard it from BK. She felt Max tucking the blanket over her. She was too drowsy to notice anything else he did after that. Sleep finally took over her. She woke up the next morning with a pounding headache. She even let out a loud groan. It was probably from the whiskey she drank. She should’ve just stuck with the espresso martini. Daphne froze when she realized the room looked familiar. She slapped her forehead when she remembered she was with Max last night. She was lying on his sister’s bed. She looked at the door when it opened. Max walked in, freshly showered, carrying a bowl of hot soup. She could still see the steam rising from it.
