The normal me would have left the hospital immediately after I realized Valerie was coming but I wanted to be around to make sure nothing funny happened between them.
We both left the waiting area where Damon was sitting and went to the reception so we would see Valerie when she arrived.
There was an awkward silence between us after all the failed attempts of Vito trying to talk to me. I didn’t want to have a conversation with him at that moment because I was obviously going to stir an argument.
I didn’t want to say the wrong things so I decided to be quiet while we waited for her. After what felt like hours, she finally came through the entrance.
