After I woke up from my nap, I realized Vito had already left the room. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom to take a shower.
I hoped he would still be around and would be back by the time I got out of the shower. But he wasn’t still back by the time I was done.
I was dressing up when I saw a note on top of the drawer. [I had some business to take care of and didn’t want to disturb your sleep. A driver is waiting for you in the driveway, whenever you’re ready to go home.]
I finished dressing up, picked up my bag, and folded the note into it. I arranged my hair and left the room. I took the elevator to the reception. I noticed the new girl was staring at me weirdly as I walked to the entrance. I decided to ignore it and went straight to the car.
