My heart froze in horror when I saw the level of the breach and the Beta formation against it. Only one position was empty and that was at the very head which was the most dangerous. The very position where all counterattacks would be focussed.
‘Where is mate ?’ Onyx worriedly asked, and that is exactly when my worst fears came true when the beta dragons quickly shifted and soared high in staircase formation- flying at different heights in increasing order successively.
My brain went into shock when the signalling howl resounded and the leader of the formation did not shift ! Instead, he ran as fast as he could and jumped from one dragon’s back to another, shooting weaponry that I had never imagined even in my wildest dreams !
