Bolt’s POV
I woke up to a steady weight on my abdomen. I tried to lift my hand, but it felt too heavy and it went crashing down the side of bed, instantly causing tears to prick my eyes.
“Ah !” I hoarsely cried out in pain and that was all it took for the Alpha wolf to shake out of sleep and get help after softly settling my hand on a pillow.
The doctors and the nurses immediately took over while the machines blared like gigantic alarms in the background, but my eyes stayed on my wired hand, tears leaking out when I remembered what had happened.
I could distantly hear sounds in the background and words like ‘Nox’ and ‘awake’ shelling against the walls of the hallway. I closed my eyes and tried to breathe slowly. The pain was killing me.
