Samantha was right with her hunch. It was Althea walking closer towards their table. She glanced at her with a smile plastered on her face. But Samantha's mind is in chaos. Althea's smiles seemed to hide something that threatened her. She closed her palms to make a fist as she gathered her strength, which suddenly dropped when she saw her. She swallowed hard as Althea got closer. She seemed to have lost her voice and hearing because of the intense pounding of her heart.
“Hi, Kendrick! Nice to see you again,” Althea greeted Kendrick, who stood up to welcome her.
“Hi, Thea!”
Samantha's stares fly towards Kendrick. Her attention was to what Althea said.
“Did they meet before this? He didn't mention it to me!”
