I took a deep breath before facing my brothers. Pushing the door open, I was greeted by the familiar aroma of my mother cooking in the kitchen. Her meals were what brought us together every evening. No matter where life took us, we always returned in time to savor her dinner. A large family portrait hung proudly on the wall, the first thing every guest saw upon entering our home.
