I sat away from everyone and watched from a distance as they were talking about their day and their future plans. But my eyes followed one person in particular, my mate.
She was talking to Mel, and she would occasionally look my way and blush.
She looks so cute when she blushes and the fact that I know she has a crush on me makes it even more difficult to hide my attraction to her. But at the end of the day, I know that I made the right decision.
I don’t want her to feel pressured by the mate bond or our family. 16 years is still a little young, there are decisions people make at 16 that they regret when they turn 18 years, and I don’t want her to ever have any regrets.
