Even though I had seen it happen for myself, I still can not believe it. Elijah is on the floor groaning, and Maxwell stands victorious. My mind is racing, my heart feels like it is going to explode, and I cannot feel the tears I know are streaming down my face. Elijah is my everything, how could I ever be with someone else?
