I was up early since I couldn’t really sleep last night. Zara paced in my mind, eager to leave and see Curt once more. I packed my bag then made breakfast for the girls and myself. I forced my toast down with some coffee before walking the girls to school. I hugged them tightly.
“I’ll see y’all soon,” I told them.
“Ok mom,” Jade said.
“Go get him, mom,” Josie told me.
I looked at her in slight irritation and she just smiled. Why would they be so happy to see me with someone new? Strange ass pups. But more importantly, how did they know that I wouldn’t reject him and then come back or reject him and not come back?
