Venita, Jade, Josie and I all walked to uncle Duncan and aunt Meredith's house after arriving at Trinity Forest. We found all of our family members already there, including Grant, Madison and Jaxson. We all hugged aunt Meredith, who looked the exact same way that mom had when dad died.
We stood around and talked with everyone and comforted our aunt and cousin as best we could. We knew what they were going through but it didn’t make it any easier. Grief was different for everyone and each situation was different. We lost dad at the beginning of all of this, so we were fueled by anger. With us losing Duncan at the end of this, James and everyone would face their grief differently because there was no one to go after now that Slater was dead.
