All of me was sad and numb from the loss of my father and that included my Lycan and wolf, but I had things to do. I needed to protect everyone and figure out what to do next. Venita and I managed to get my mother off the spot where dad had died and Venita took her home. I rushed to the school and pulled Jade and Josie from class right away. They looked to be in the same state as me with their emotions. They both hugged me tightly before we left the school to go home.
I watched as the whole pack started to shut down and go home to mourn a great leader and pray for my mother to pull through the loss of her mate. Today was supposed to be a good day, not a mournful one. The sun was out so it didn’t feel right to be in a sad and depressed mood.
