I got a message from mom before lunchtime telling me that she was headed back home. I sighed in relief that she was still ok. I know I would have felt it if she had died but would I have felt it if she rejected Curt?
I let all my siblings know through our group message that I heard from mom and that she was headed home. Everyone had questions about what was going on and what had happened. I let them know that I had no clue and I didn’t ask. I would ask her when she got home though.
I stopped texting my siblings and sent mom another message.
“Do you want me to pick you up from the airport?”
“No. I’m having Ben bring my vehicle to me. Would you and Venita like to come over for dinner tonight?” she asked me.
“Yeah, we will be there.”
“Ok, see y’all then.”
