Gone

As Jennie is on her way to England, there is chaos at the house where she grew up. Dante cancelled the wedding. Alexa is in tears as her whole family turns their backs on her for sleeping with the enemy. More than a hundred quests have shown up, and no one knows what to do. Loraine and Boris have their hands full, and Andrei tries to help his parents as best as he can. Jennifer and Logan are disappointed about Dante's choice of women but glad that he found out about her cheating before he married her. Everything is a mess. All Dante can think of is Jennie and what he said to her. He feels like an asshole, and he wants to apologize. Dante thinks Jennie is ignoring him and her family, as Dante does not see her around. He will apologize as soon as he sees her again. Cancelling everything takes up a lot of everyone's time. Dante had to apologize to his side of the family, who travelled so far to be at his wedding. He gives everyone a free holiday in Russia. It takes longer to finish the cancellation as Dante and his family pay all the fees of the caterers, the venue and other services that Dante cancelled at the last moment. It takes a few days to sort things out. Dante is still not seeing Jennie at all, and he knows she is ignoring all of them and the mess that is going on. Dante knows he hurt Jennie, and he remembers how she looked that night sitting up in bed. Her hair was messy, and she did not have her glasses on. She stood up against him and his harsh words. He said things he regretted. Yet, every time he thinks of her, something in his heart feels warm. Dante does not know why he keeps thinking of her soft skin and her soft body against his. He is supposed to be heartbroken, but he feels relieved as if there is more out there, and he almost misses it by nearly marrying Alexa. "Have you seen Jennie? I need to talk to her about something," Dante asks Andrei after a few days of not seeing Jennie at all. "No, but she is like a mouse. So she must be around here somewhere," Andrei answers. "Hmm, I don't know. I have been looking for Jennie for a few days now," Dante says. "Well, she is always up first and out of the house early, and she comes back home late. She works two jobs to follow that stupid dream of hers. If only she would listen to my father and become a doctor like my mother," Andrei says. "Not all people can become doctors. Maybe Jennie doesn't want to be a doctor because she can not handle blood or something else. Have any of you asked her why she does not want to become a doctor?" Dante stands up for Jennie. Andrei looks at Dante funny. "What is wrong with you and why, all of a sudden, all the interest in Jennie?" Andrei asks. "I have no interest in her. I want to thank her for something she did for me. That is all," Dante barks at Andrei. "Well, that is a relief. I thought you might have started to like nerdy women," Andrei laughs, but Dante can not laugh with him this time. Instead, he suddenly finds it distasteful to laugh at Jennie. So Dante turns around, and when he sees Loraine, he asks her if she has seen Jennie as he needs to talk to her about something. "Now that you mention it, I have not seen her either," Loraine says. She looks worried and runs up the stairs to Jennie's room, followed by Dante. At first, Loraine feels relieved seeing all the family photos and her laptop, watch and cellphone on the dresser. Then it hits Loraine. All the devices they have tracking devices installed in case Jennie goes missing or their enemies get their hands on their daughter. She runs to Jennie's closet, and her heart misses a few beats. All the clothes Jennie bought for herself the last few years are gone. Loraine is pale as she feels her knees giving in underneath her. So Dante catches her and helps her to sit on the bed. "What is wrong?" Dante asks. "Jennie is gone. She ran away. My baby girl is gone," Loriane cries. "Didn't someone kidnap her?" Dante asks, looking worried. "No, see the watch, her laptop and her cellphone. We installed tracking devices on those devices. She knows it as she is very clever. She left it here on purpose. She only took the stuff she bought for herself over the last few years with her money. We can not even track her bank statements as she opened a bank account in her name, and we do not have the details or at which bank she is. The day we had a fight with her about her career choice, she gave her bank card with all the money we saved her back to Boris and her car keys. She can be anywhere in the world. Where do I even start looking?" Loraine asks. She knows she and Jennie were not close anymore after the fight. She hardly spoke to Jennie, and Jennie never talked to Boris or Andrei anymore. "We will find her. She could not have that much money, and how far can it bring her?" Dante assured Loraine, but not even he knew where to start. Loraine looks at Dante, hopefully. "Yes, our men know what she looks like, and we can give you a photo of her so your men can look for her," Loraine says. Jennie, with her big glasses, her hair always in a bun and wearing jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies will be easy to spot. Dante is thinking the same thing, but they have underestimated Jennie. The day another Jennie got on the bus, a beautiful young woman with long hair wearing a cheap but classy dress and contact lenses bought a ticket to England. She even had light makeup on, and the men on the bus thought she was beautiful and wondered what a lovely lady like her was doing on a bus to England, but did not dare to approach her as she looked like she was not the type you flirt with, a gorgeous woman like her must have a man. Loraine and Dante come down the stairs. Andrei and Boris are waiting for them, and when Boris sees Loraine's face, he walks to her and knows something is wrong. Boris holds Loraine in his arms as she can only cry, and no words can come out of her mouth. Boris tries to calm her, and he looks at Dante with a question in his eyes. "Jennie is gone. She left behind all the things you bugged and only took her clothes and stuff she bought herself with her," Dante says. Boris looks shocked as he always thought Jennie would come to her senses and do as he asked of her. Boris and Andrei get on their phone, and soon all their men are deployed to look for Jennie. Jennie planned her disappearance for four weeks. She knew a guy she knew her father did not work with and got a fake passport, works permit and identity card from him. Jennie bought her phoney passport and other documents for the man her family hated the most, Jackson. Like most people in Moscow, Jackson does not know about Jennie as she is never seen with her family members in public. Jennie used her new look, long hair without the glasses, a dress and light makeup when she went to him to get all her fake papers, and she was happy with the quality and paid him without even telling him her real name. Jennie also ignored his advances and got out of the place fast. She did all this while everyone was planning the wedding. Jennie knew Dante's men were following Alexa, so she made sure to go to Jackson when Alexa was busy with the wedding things. "Sir, we checked all the airports, busses and trains. There is no sign of your daughter leaving Moscow or Russia for that matter," Boris' head of security says. "Then turn Moscow upside down and find my daughter! She must be in the city then or somewhere in Russia. Or someone must know where she is! Also, check all her fake passports if she used one of them," Boris says to his men. Boris feels awful. He and Andrei. Andrei is working day and night to find his sister, but even with the help of Dante and his men, they find nothing. Not a single clue. Jennifer and Logan have also offered to help them, but Jen smiles by herself. She is impressed with her little namesake. That little girl does not want to be found, and she will not help them as she knows there must be a reason why Jennie ran away, and she will first find out what the reason is before she and Logan help find her and why is Dante so eager to see her? Jennie has graduated a week before the wedding. She was hoping to see her family at her graduation. Still, they never showed up, and Jennie knew it was because they were all so busy with the wedding they had forgotten about her. Maybe they were not interested in coming as she did not graduate as a doctor like Boris, Loraine and Andrei wanted her to be. Jennie was sad about it, and it was the last straw for her. Jennie was still hesitant to leave and thought to tell Boris and Loraine about her pregnancy. So, after knowing they would not understand, she decided to go without saying goodbye or leaving a letter like she was planning to do. Jennifer knew that life would be hard as a single mother, but she would not give up her child, and when she got to London, she hardly had enough money to provide for herself for a month. So Jennie started looking for work, and when she found a job at a small tech company run by an older gentleman, she applied under her name. Jennie had no choice to tell him what happened to her and that she was pregnant. Jack Connors did not care as he knew he had gold in the form of Jennifer Petrov. Jack promised to help her hide from anyone from her past. He even gave her the apartment on top of the building to move in. He felt sorry for the little girl with the cheap clothes and a baby on the way. Jennifer knew sooner or later her family would start calling tech companies to find out if she was working there, and she trusted Jack not to tell them. Jack and his wife, Cathy, loved the quiet little girl working for them, and when Jennie wrote them a program that put them on the map and made them wealthy, they loved her even more. They made sure Jennie got the best health care and was as surprised as Jennie when they found out she was expecting twins. So, the night Jennie gave birth, only two people were in the hospital with her. Jack and Cathy Connor. They took her to a tiny little hospital in the outskirts of London where no one talked about their patients, and they knew she would be safe from being found by anyone she did not want in her life anymore. It is now eight months later, and Jennie's family nor Dante can find a trace of her. They even called all the tech companies worldwide, but no one had heard of Jennifer Petrov. Dante can not believe that a person can disappear like that. So he and Andrei have been looking everywhere without any luck. Boris and Loraine are being eaten up by guilt, and they can not stop thinking about their daughter. They do love her, and they should have never pushed her away from them. They should have supported her decision and not force her to do what they wanted her to do.
