    Max and I were the only ones to turn up at school the next day, something that I found to be odd.     “Max, why did Pierson not tell me that we were prepping today if you knew?” I asked as we continued to stretch.     “I don't know. Maybe because it slipped his mind on the date that he was on with you.” she returned. “I mean who wants to talk about anything concerning school when you're on a date?” she asked in what I assumed to be a rhetorical manner.     I shrugged. “I would not have minded it.” I pointed out.     “Well I'm sure that he would have.” she scoffed. “I'm sure he was looking for a second base kinda thing last night, and apparently you didn't even give him first.”     “What does that mean?”     Max as usual snickered and shook her head at my lack of knowledge concern
