I shivered slightly when I stared at the closed curtain space where the King was waiting. For all we know, everything he said could’ve been a lie. His goal might just be to get me alone and kill me off. I’m aware of how much hate he has displayed for me so far so I don’t really know why he would want to see me and why Nick would believe he doesn’t intend to hurt me.
