“What is it?” I asked Avery when I saw her looking out the window in concern when we arrived.
“This place— isn’t usually as deserted as it is now. I wonder where everyone has gone.”
“How many times have you been here?”
“Twice.” She answered.
“And they all know you?”
“I have a free pass, so they’d let me pass.”
“Good.” I said, “it’s already so late. You’re going to go with Nick to secretly look for Ariel. Check the dungeons. Check every nook and cranny of that place and find her.”
She nodded as if understanding it.
