When we got home Danny said he wanted to talk to me about something important so I nodded my head and followed him to his room. Once there he sat down on his bed and patted the space beside him for me to sit which I did. He ran his hand through his hair and sighed.
“ I don’t know how to tell you this so I’m just going to come out and say it.” I nodded my head feeling a bit worried.
“ I’ve decided to take over dad’s company.” My mouth fell open when he said that and I shook my head trying to clear the fog that was forming.
“ I know it’s a bit sudden and I shouldn’t have dumped this on you right now with everything that’s going on, but I wanted to tell you and the sooner he better right?” He asked with a smile as if trying to lighten the mood but it wasn’t working for me.
