“Ellie please. You need to rein it in.” I am struggling to stay upright. The roaring in my head is intense. That bomb should have killed us all. If Nina hadn’t warned us, we would have been right on top of it and they would be picking us up with tweezers. And Riley….damn him, he’d knocked Walker and I both ten feet back as soon as we realized what it was. He took the brunt of it and I’m fairly positive he broke most of his ribs and who knows what else hearing him groan as he hit the ground. It had thrown him close to the border. They had hauled him off. I hadn’t been able to stop them. Could barely get up. Then that asshole had shot close to Brody and Landon with another one. They’re alive but I can see from here, they’re in bad shape.
