Lydia and I are heading for the training grounds. We are almost there when I sense he’s watching. I turn seeing them all come out of the cell building. He’s not covered in blood but I see specks of it all over him. He links me “I’ll see you at the training grounds after a shower. Drako and Wesley will start with you two.”
“Learn anything? I’d come see you but I don’t really want to smell his blood.”
“We did. I’ll tell you later after training. I don’t want you to smell him either.”
I blow him a kiss with him pretending he has to stretch to catch it. I laugh before we walk off. I wish right now I wasn’t some special chosen wolf. To enjoy days with Riley and our friends having fun and not worrying about half the world coming after us.
