I don't think I've ever shifted as fast as I did when Isabella said I wasn't her mate. I don't think she has any idea what being a mate means to us but it doesn't hurt any less.
I don't know what would've happened if Keaton wasn't as angry as I was right there, he wanted to meet Isabella and I'm sure if he wasn't hurt by her words, he would've wanted to stay next to her a little longer.
