Annoying Anna.
Despite my best efforts to avoid her, we keep running into each other. I was on my way for an inspection at the border outpost when I saw her speaking to fresh recruits and laughing with them as they jogged along the outpost.
It annoyed me more than anything to see her with other… men. I convince myself it’s because I’m simply protective of a female member of the family, but I know better.
Annoying, annoying.
I saw her again at lunch. She was eating in the gardens with one of the old hags of the Council. I was merely passing through, using a shortcut to get to a lunch date with my mother.
And I saw her yet again while she was at her meeting with the new Alpha. Unlike the first two, I knew she was there this time. I just had to see for myself.
