It’s a little difficult to believe that what so many generations of my family have been longing for, might be possible all because I was granted a second mate.
“I have done a lot of business with him, how did I never sense it?” Dad whispers, seeming stupefied. Although mom doesn’t know what is going on right now, I’m grateful when she takes the kids out of the room.
“This is not his first time here. Lucien has been going back and forth between Anon and earth… for 10 years.” I tell him, and his eyes only grow wider.
I can understand his thoughts and how he feels. To know that there is finally a way to keep your family safe forever is one thing.
But to realize that this door has been open to you for 10 years, yet you had no idea, is something else.
